Black Gold Season 1

Plot:

There’s an oil boom in west Texas and that means big risk, big reward and big characters drilling for crude. The oilmen risk their fortunes. It costs millions to drill two miles into the Earth. But this exhausting, dangerous work demands the young roughnecks risk something more valuable their lives. Not only do they have to contend with the elements on the rig like scorching heat and sudden lightning storms, there’s heavy iron all around and the constant risk of a lethal blowout. But the oilman’s putting up nearly a hundred grand a day to drill the well, so that bit has to keep turning. At the end of each episode, we’ll see the moment of truth did they strike it big or drill a dry hole?

Episode Summary:

Three teams of drillers head to the west Texas oilfields, and race to see which team can strike oil first; the Viking crew has rig problems, which delays their progress.

Episode Summary:

When one of the Longhorn's crew member no-shows, it puts the team in jeopardy and leaves the driller upset; the Viking crew begins to recover from a shaky start; a new driller of the Big Dog crew faces his biggest challenge.

Episode 3

Episode Summary:

On one of the oil rigs, one team is about to hit pay dirt, but then they encounter unexpected trouble, which causes them to have to retreat their pipe from the ground. However, on one of the other rigs, a person could be out. A driller shows a new person around what they will be doing on the job, and start out with good times, but the good times will not last forever.
